| Cornus nuttalii (PACIFIC DOGWOOD - Tree Form)
A beautiful flowering tree - brilliant white flowers in spring- sometimes late summer. Cream white flowers consist of four petal-like bracts, each 3" long. Trees are often multi-stemmed, about 20 ft. high. Fine yellow-reddish foliage in Fall. Excellent shade tree; will thrive in partial shade. Needs good drainage. Belongs in every native garden where bright flowers are a beacon of white against dark conifers. For full detail on this plant, see my Cornus Nuttalii (Pacific Dogwood) species site. |
