This 6' deciduous shrub, with its many branches, is found on the east side of Cascade Mountains and south to New Mexico. It has small round leaves and fancy white to pink blooms. The red-orange berries are both decorative and edible. Photo below right by Stan Shebs. For a short comparison of northwest native currants, click here. |
